The rain is falling and the dead are rising.
It began at an ultra-secret government laboratory. Experiments in limb regeneration-an unspeakable union of Medieval alchemy and cutting edge genetics result in the very germ of horror itself a gene trigger that will reanimate dead tissue...any dead tissue.
Now it's loose. It's gone viral. It's in the rain.
And the rain has not stopped falling for weeks.
As the country floods and corpses float in the streets, as cities are submerged, the evil dead are rising.
And they are hungry.

I am really amazed that some folks gave this book 1 or 2 stars. I really cannot see giving it anything less than 4 stars. I am giving it 5 stars. I loved the book. The first reviewer hit the zombie on the head. A great cast of characters and enough gore to fill up several swimming pools. I hesitate to use the "King" word here and compare Tim to Stephen, but by golly, it is alot like reading the early King stories. Another reviewer said this was his first and last Tim Curran novel, but for me, it will be the first of many others. For sure I plan to get BIOHAZARD and Dead Sea.It is pretty long, but that just lets you get very involved in the story. How much punishment can one little town take? You get to meet a wide variety of characters. Although for some, it is only for a short period of time. Just don't do what I did several times and try to read this book while you are eating lunch! Zombies chewing up folks and graphic gory descriptions as I am munching on a burger and fries sometimes does NOT go well together.
I did not notice a lot of cussing, but then again, if this was the end of the world and some zombie is trying to eat me up I think I might toss out a cuss word or two. Nothing to distract me from the excellent story writing.
Ditto for any formatting problems. Nothing stood out. Nothing slowed me down on enjoying this novel. I love zombie books and when this one dropped to $2.99 I took a chance and I am very glad I did. Tim Curran now has a new fan. I just love the cover by the way. What you see is what you get in this case! I loved the beginning, the middle, and the end.

Resurrection eBook Tim Curran Reviews
This book is different from many entries in the flooded zombie book market. The zombies are not your standard "bite and infect others" type of zombies, which makes it more interesting in my opinion. There are plenty of other titles that fit in the standard "survivors holding out against the horde" genre if that's what you are looking for. Without getting into plot details and the cause of the undead walking the streets of Witcham and River Town, I will just say that it involves secret military testing, and unusual amounts of rain--lots and lots of rain. The story is long (650 pages) and much of it seems like the same descriptions over and over. The story jumps from scene to scene, chronicling different groups of citizens in their attempts to unravel what is happening. That is fine, but every time the author returns to a previously visited setting, he feels the need to give another detailed description of the area. You'll read many times over about the stagnant water with leaves floating on the top. I will say that Tim Curran is one of the most descriptive authors in the horror genre, and he does not skimp on the gore. You will have no trouble visualizing any of the events in the book. I was with the book until near the end, when the "zombies" started doing some pretty strange things, like the villanous clown zombie floating and flying around. Oddly enough, the copy I ordered off of was supposed to be a hardcover 666 page Special Edition, and I instead got the paperback regular edition, but oh well. It is a decent and slightly unusual addition to the zombie market, and it will take you a while to read due to the story jumping from group to group.
I am such a fanatic for zombie fiction. Since I got my kindle last Christmas, I have been tearing through the zombie ebook genre. I try to only buy long novels, as I like to keep reading about the same characters and their evolution through the apocalypse. Normally I stick to traditional head-shot, slow moving, eat your face (and whatever else) zombies. It can be enjoyable if they're fast, but stay within the "normal" zombie parameters. This book was SO not a traditional zombie story! Now normally, after discovering that a zombie book is not traditional, I would stop reading and put it on the emergency-I-ran-out-of-things-to-read list. This is the first case in which I did not take this action. The writing in this book is so exceptional, that I got lost in that flooded corpse-town. I'm a bit of a redneck, so the constant off-color joking between the two most prominent characters really made me laugh. I won't discuss any details, as I hate to spoil any surprises. What I will tell you is this this book is not a typical outbreak-survive-battle-regrow zombie novel. There are influences at work here other than government conspiracies and cover-ups. Traditional zombie fans, please don't push this one aside. EXCELLENT READ TIM CURRAN! P.S. This is a long novel-I think it is important for those of us that create reviews include whether or not the book we're reviewing was short(short story), average(novella) or long(250 pages +) as sometimes it is hard to judge the length of an ebook by the information provided(I am aware of the problem of font size preferences between different kindle users making accurate page numbers impossible, but an educated guess would suffice!). Just a thought-I know it would help me out greatly when deciding what to spend my money on!
One of the best writers of Zombie books since my "Zombie Mania" took over all my reading about 4 years ago.
"Resurrection Zombie Epic" has such vivid, just plain grotesque and horror drenched scenes, I had to put the book down on several occasions. I started reading during the day - night reading spooked me so much that I was unable to read without thinking about the people who suffered, thingies moving about my room, shadows - which kept me awake at night . . . lights on during and for weeks after reading "Resurrection" - (Trembles, shakes, and spine-tingles).
I recommend this excellently crafted read to readers that truly enjoy frightful and gory books. Not much to go into detail since I believe it can "spoil" your reading experience; however, I will say this, I have read around 80 zombie books in my life, and this one caused lumps in my throat, heavy heart rate, increased pulse and a disturbed mind (mine).
Mr. Curran - your creatively written novel has had a great impact on my life - I look for Zombies everywhere . . .
